Vishwamitri Villas – The Film

In 2021 I was delighted to compose and record the music for Vishwamitri Villas. This project grew out of some pro bono workshops that Kristine and I did back in 2018 at the Akshar Trust School for Hearing Impaired Children in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. It was a remarkable experience, which I describe elsewhere (see Vishwamitri Villas the play, in music for theatre). Our attempts at going there again were thwarted by covid but, In 2021 Kristine made a 40-minute film, Vishwamitri Villas, through improvising sessions with the Akshar students and those from Page to Stage, a local drama group, entirely on Zoom.   

The film went on to appear in several international film festivals and won a number of laurels.
